I think the idea of cliché gets in the way of what things really are, whether it is a piece of art, a song, a movie, or a lifestyle, thinking of it in terms of how much of a cliché it may be is seeing it through other people’s perception of it. How well or not-so-well received a thing is or how often it has been used should not govern your appreciation for a thing, whatever it may be.
